Guitar & Case

Music is one of my greatest passions, so I knew exactly where to start with my next portfolio piece. I choose a guitar because I wanted to make something extremely detailed, and what better object to model than one you have in your own room. I really wanted to hone in my topology skills, so I dedicated a lot of time to researching different methods and working out a plan. The majority of my tris went to the curves, and at the end I went back and deleted any edge loops that weren't important to the overall shape. Once I finished the guitar, I still wasn't satisfied, so I made a case to go with it, conveniently acting as a stand to aid in my overall composition. I didn't want to deviate too much from the classics, and opted for a very traditional, recognizable color scheme on both objects.
